Fairly average Middle Eastern bakery. Spinach pies don't have the best dough flavor ever, but the texture is perfect and the filling has a nice balance of flavors. Pistachio desserts are as they usually are, decently crispy and all that, but not too special either.

The pistachio baklava is next level good. I've also tried their kanafe and a chicken pie, both good but the baklava reins supreme to me.

Cute little halal Syrian deli. We were passing by the neighborhood and I'm glad we stopped by to check the store. We bought several of their meat and chicken pies and they were all delicious. Tahini bread was a bit dryer than I'm used to but still very tasty. Stop by here if you need a quick bite to go.

People in the know go here. Well there might be another Middle Eastern Place close by, this is by far the superior option. I usually buy a 12 pack of Lahmacun, these little lamb pizzas. Their hummus, their falfael mix, baba ganoush, In fact, all their salads are fantastic. Not to mention an array of freshly made desserts. The staff is friendly and helpful and downright funny. It blew my mind to see all of these people lined up at Trader Joe's during the pandemic for hours, while this place across the street remained chill. People waiting to buy a bunch of snacks made in a factory, while ignoring all of the freshly made and baked products across the street. A true gem, I can't think of a place as good as this in new york city.

The baklava here are AMAZING! I grabbed a to-go box with several different varieties, and they were all delicious. They kept well that entire day and into the next (after that, we'd eaten them all!). I also got a pistachio knafeh, which was good and very delicately flavored, although I thought the baklava was better overall. I also got a maamoul (date cookie), which was a bit dry for my taste. But, again, the baklava was fantastic! They don't have any seating, but they do have a nice little grocery section if you're looking for a middle eastern ingredient.

Run, don't walk to Damascus Bread & Pastry Shop! We spotted this shop while walking up Atlantic and must have passed it many a time before stopping by. We made a beeline to check it out! I was hoping it would be similar to a pastry shop I would go to before school in Jordan...and it was! They have a HUGE selection of savory and sweet pastries as well as prepared food, pita, dips, etc. They have an outstanding baklava and sweets selection in particular. I was really excited to see lots of kunafa, a favorite! We got a sampling of kunafa, baklava, and bread to try and it was all delicious and very reasonably priced too. I can't resist kunafa whenever I see it, and Damascus Bread's was truly delicious!

Lovely local business with unique pastry offerings as well as lunch options! This is a grab-and-go spot with no seating. My friend and I wandered here looking for a snack to tide our hunger and got the barazek (sesame cookie) and the pistachio knaffa roll. The barazek was great, but the knaffa roll was outstanding. I was afraid that it would be way too sweet due to the spun sugar, but it was balanced out well with the filling inside. In general they have a large selection of popular and unknown pastry items as well as hummus and other dips in the fridges. The prices are very affordable at about $2-3 per pastry. Definitely want to stop by here again to try their spinach pie and other pistachio desserts.

The man working here was so nice, he gave me my food and assured me that it was excellent and then instructed me to not share it based on the quality. It was only 8.50 for a falafel sandwich and baklava. In Brooklyn. The sandwich was pretty great -- not the most elevated flavors, but all of the ingredients were excellent and tasted fresh.

I came here to buy some Syrian desserts for my friend. There are not many Middle Eastern businesses left on Atlantic Ave so it was nice to go to one. I ordered a bunch of popular desserts: walnut baklava, pistachio baklava, almond baklava, bird's nest, and lady finger. I also ordered a spinach and feta pie for myself. You can get it warmed up which was nice. The desserts were very pretty and were not too sweet. The spinach and feta pie was very tasty especially if you get it warmed up. The prices were very good, about $2 per item. Service was very friendly and fast. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!
